February 2009 London snowfall

London snowfall was good and bad in many ways. One of the major bad things the Transport System complete shutdown, but heck that helped me work from home and make a snowman in my apartment patio!

Anyway, lets just concentrate on the good things...good things were I experienced snow for the very first time, some places looked spectacular with a snow covering, and people were out and about playing on the streets, it was sheer fun.

It was the heaviest snowfall that London has seen in the last 18 years. It brought the city to a complete stand-still.
The next couple of days were tough to get by, because the roads were not gritted. As snow is relativetly uncommon in the city, they didn't have enough measures to clear the snow.

In about 3-4 days the snow was clear from the main paths and I could go to work without the fear of tripping.

Well, it happened sometime in Feb and I'm blogging it now so I do not have much to write about the experience and stuff. The pics below will talk for themselves.

And then the snowman I made!
